That is exactly what you get when you dine at this restaurant. You aren’t going to find anything close to California rolls here. This is a rotating menu that is based on the season of the year. The ingredients come from Japan and are served at their freshest point. If you consider yourself a sushi enthusiast/enjoyer, you have to try this restaurant.
Please try to find an Omakase restaurant in the area that serves this quality of ingredients at this price point. PLEASE! You can’t do it! There literally is no other restaurant like this one in the area. We truly have a gem here in Davis, people. You NEED to try this restaurant. This sushi experience is for the real dedicated fish lovers out there. A truly traditional sushi experience right here in Davis!
PS: If you’ve seen the film Jiro Dreams of Sushi, it’s like that, but in Davis. If you haven’t seen it and claim yourself as a sushi enjoyer, do yourself a favor and watch it at your next movie night!
